Fun Ways to Send Love
Valentine's Day is fast-approaching and I've been working on a few sets of cards that will help you "share the love."
I've had lots of fun creating some "cheesey" cards - cards with those typical Valentine's puns we've all come to love. And, I couldn't resist my usual "snarky" style combining some quirky images with some cute greetings. I also have a few more traditional cards that you can also choose from.
For this special occasion, I have both the regular size cards we normally create in the workshops, as well as my special "gift card size" cards with punny sayings and whimsical images. These mini-cards are great for slipping under the door for a neighbour or including with a Valentine's treat (they are half the size of our regular cards).
Cheesey Greetings
Once I got started with these card designs, I just couldn't stop. Check out all the fun images and coordinating sayings.
(This card is 5.25" square)
These next three cards all have "action wobbles" under the head of the character, which makes the head bobble around on the card front!
Snarky Sentiments
These three cards are a little less traditional but still capture the love of the season. And, they're also less "romance focused" so would be great to send a friend or relative.
Traditional Greetings
If you're looking for something a little more traditional (and less snarky), here are a few options.
This card offers the added bonus of a good bit of colouring for the hearts.
The sentiment on this card can also be changed to "Happy Valentine's Day."
Mini-Cards
So that brings me to the mini cards. I set out to just make six, but before I knew it, I had 10 of these cuties put together.
Here's the first six I made.
And now the last four.
You can see that some of these are definitely Valentine's-specific, but others could be used any time of the year (such as the three on the left in the image above).
You can also take the "front" of these mini-cards and add them to a full-size card front using a coordinating paper or cardstock, to create a regular card to send.
How to Order
Since I realize not everyone sends or gives out more than just a few Valentine's cards, this month's take-out kits will be a little different in terms of packaging and pricing.
The mini greetings can be ordered in sets of six, for just $15. Let me know which six you'd like or get all ten for $20. These cards measure 2.75 x 4.25" (half the size of "regular" greeting cards) and a coordinating envelope will be provided.
For all the other cards, you can mix-and-match across the different categories. Choose any three for $15, or multiples of six for $25 each set. (Prices include taxes and envelopes, but do not include adhesives. An adhesive kit can be purchased for an additional $10.)
I know these kits will be popular so let me know if you'd like me to reserve something for you. Kits will be ready for pick up starting on Saturday this week.
Happy Crafting!
