It's Holiday Time!

I am so excited to be moving into the Christmas Holiday Season! There is so much going on and I'm thrilled to have a number of new workshops to share with you.

Knowing how busy everyone is these days and especially at this time of year, I'm taking a different approach to the workshop planning. I will schedule specific dates for each workshop, but you can also book a "private session" with two or more people to complete any of the projects / workshops I have (we'll coordinate a date and time that works for you). Or, we can design a special session if there is something you'd like for your group that you don't see here. Just email me with your workshop choice(s) and preferred dates and I'll be sure to sign you up (note that pre-registration is required for all workshops).

As well as workshops, I'm busy preparing for three fabulous craft fairs all in the month of November. See the listing below (at the bottom of this post) for all the details.

Holiday Card Marathon

The annual Holiday Card Marathon is back with a new selection of cards for you to create.

In this workshop, we'll make three each of six designs, so you'll have a healthy stash of 18 cards when you're finished the workshop.

This workshop requires three hours to complete and the cost is $50 per person.

Scheduled dates for this workshop are:

  • Friday, November 8 from 9 a.m. - noon

  • Saturday, November 9 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Silly & Snarky Holiday Cards

This is always a popular workshop and this year I'll have six new silly & snarky designs ready for you (the image here shows one of last year's designs (I'm still working on the final touches for this designs for this year).

We'll make six fun cards that will bring a smile to your face and that will be enjoyed by your recipients!

The cost for this workshop is $35.

Scheduled dates for this workshop are:

Wednesday, November 27 from 9 a.m. - noon

Sunday, December 1 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Lighted Christmas Canvases

Oh my goodness these are so fun to make, and there are so many options for designs!

These 6 x 6" and 4 x 4" canvas panels are covered with a decorative napkin using a decoupage method.

Coordinating paint is used to finish the edges and fairy lights are added to the inside to create this wonderful glow!

In this workshop, you'll create one 6 x 6" canvas and one 4 x 4" canvas, with your choice of design from my (ever-growing) stash napkins.

The cost for this workshop is $45 which includes the two canvases and the fairy lights.

Scheduled dates for this workshop are:

  • Wednesday, November 13 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

  • Sunday, November 24 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Shadow Boxes

Oh my goodness, the holiday-themed shadow box designs just keep flowing!

This Christmas Highland Cow is by far one of my all-time favourites, but, I have many other new designs, too!

Who doesn't love a snowglobe? And, I have three different designs, all that can have lights added to provide an extra glow! Check out these images below for a sampling of these great, whimsical designs! (Yes, I know I said "three" and there are only two here! The third one is a tree snowglobe.)

Since these require some additional prep, I will host these by appointment only, so choose a date and let me know your design idea and I'll send you some options to choose from.

The cost for this workshop is $35 for the regular 8 x 8" shadow box and $40 with lights added. If you'd rather not have a holiday-themed design, let me know as I also have many other designs to choose from.

Upcoming Craft Fairs

As I mentioned earlier, I'm participating in three great craft fairs during the month of November.

The first is the always-popular Christmas Craft Fair & Market at St. Thomas Aquinas School on Keith Road in North Vancouver, on Sunday, November 3 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.. See the all the details on the poster below.

My second event will be at North Lonsdale United Church, in North Vancouver on Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. There will be lots to enjoy at this event so be sure to join me there!

Finally, I'll be back at the Advent Festival and at Highlands United Church in Edgemont Village on Friday, November 29 between 6 pm. and 9 p.m. and Saturday, November 30 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

There is lots to enjoy at this fabulous 2-day event, including dozens (or more!) nativity displays collected from around the world and graciously shared at this time for everyone to enjoy.

There will also be a Thrift & Gift Market along with the Craft & Bake Sale (where I'll have my shadow boxes on display and for sale) and much more. Again, see all the details below!

Whew! That's a lot of stuff to throw at you, but hopefully it gives you a little (early, VERY early) holiday inspiration!

I hope to see you at the studio for one or more of these workshops, or at one of these great craft fair events.

Until then, Happy Crafting!

Pamela
